Snap.com is a directory in the Yahoo! mold. Actually, I like it better than Yahoo! because it has high quality sites. Of course, this means it's smaller too. Currently there are fewer banner ads than other search engines, but this could change as it becomes more popular. Snap.com also has a good city directory for both Canada and the United States of America. You can get local news, sports scores, entertainment listings, classifieds, auctions, yellow pages, maps, movie showtimes and more. You have to browse Canadian cities, but you can just enter a US ZIP code and get the community information you want. There are some good Tips on how to use the search engine.
