Searchopolis is a filtered search engine. Searchopolis is also a Web portal specifically tailored for use by secondary school students and teachers. At the top of Searchopolis is a toolbar that provides links to a powerful set of tools for students and teachers. The Quick Connect menu in the toolbar enables you to access our main sections from anywhere in the site. The Help/411 menu item allows you to open up this context-sensitive help window from anywhere in the site. The Searchopolis Directory includes these the following sections. The Subjects section allows you to navigate through our huge directory of links to educational Web sites. This is the perfect tool for homework and research! The Reference section is a collection of online tools like Microsoft's Encarta encyclopedia, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary & Thesaurus, maps, white pages, yellow pages, an incredible set of calculators, and even a world calendar! The Today secton is the up-to-the-minute current events section of Searchopolis, offering news, sports, weather, entertainment, and other links. Registered Searchopolis users can LOGIN to gain access to our powerful personal tools, such as: E-mail, GradeCheckerSM, Virtual LockerSM, and the Searchopolis Calendar.
