LookSmart is a directory that has about 800,000 sites listed. They have a help page. You can find company information on their site. You can get the top ten most visited sites for your search criteria. This is presumably calculated from the click throughs on this particular search engine and shows the possible popularity of a site within your search criteria. Their directory is pretty good, but as with Yahoo many entries are not in the right place. LookSmart Live displays questions other users are asking.
